The Mission
Your mission: witness the power and precision of America's Air Force. Attendance is mandatory. Admission is free.
The 366th Fighter Wing, the Gunfighters, are opening the gates of Mountain Home Air Force Base for three days of raw aviation power. This isn't a spectator sport. This is an experience. The sound of twin Pratt & Whitney engines at full afterburner doesn't just fill your ears. It fills your entire body.
The Gunfighter callsign was earned in Vietnam when pilots of the 366th mounted a 20mm Gatling gun pod on their F-4C Phantoms and scored four MiG kills. The name stuck. Today, the Gunfighters fly the F-15E Strike Eagle, the most versatile fighter in the Air Force inventory, and they're inviting you to see it up close.
Mission Timeline
Three days. Dozens of flights. Here's your mission timeline. Plan your approach and don't miss the headliners.
The Fleet
These are the machines you'll see, and hear, overhead. Mountain Home AFB is home to 50+ F-15E Strike Eagles. On show days, they share the sky with heritage warbirds, demo teams, and visiting squadrons.
F-15E Strike Eagle // The Gunfighter's Ride
Dual-role air superiority and ground attack. Mach 2.5+. Two crew. Twin engines. The backbone of Mountain Home AFB and the reason the ground shakes.
F-15SG // Allied Thunder
Flown by the Republic of Singapore Air Force, who train alongside our Gunfighters at Mountain Home. International partnership in action.

Heritage Flight // Past Meets Present
A modern F-15E flying formation with a WWII-era P-51 Mustang or Korean War-era F-86 Sabre. Seven decades of American air power in a single frame.
Incoming // More to Announce
Demonstration teams, civilian aerobatic performers, and additional military aircraft will be announced as we approach show day. Watch your comms.
